Screen plates made to your current plate
Perforation, thickness, material and heat treatment follow your current plate or drawing. You approve the manufacturing drawing before production.
Pulper screen plates and extraction plates
Drilled, slotted, wedge wire or milled plates for the pulper bottom, and extraction and strainer plates. According to the manufacturer, plates made of hardenable steels are heat treated to 40–48 HRC to improve wear resistance.

EDM-drilled plates for pulp washers
Electrical discharge machining (EDM) drills small conical holes that widen by 3–5° in the flow direction. The stock enters the hole at the narrow end and leaves at the wide end. According to the manufacturer, this gives lower flow resistance and higher capacity than a straight hole. The plates are used in twin roll presses, drum washers and twin wire presses, and in thickening and dewatering.

Screw press baskets and plates
Drilled and EDM-drilled baskets and plates for screw presses where the plate has to withstand pressure and have a large open area.

Titanium plates for diffuser washers and wastewater treatment
EDM-drilled titanium plates (Grade 2, TA2) for applications where stainless steel does not last. Examples: a diffuser washer plate 3,933 × 1,500 mm, thickness 2.0 mm, hole 1.2 mm, and a wastewater filtration plate, thickness 2.0 mm, hole 1.6–1.8 mm.

Cleaning keeps the holes open
Deposits also clog the holes of screen plates and screw press baskets. We clean them with the acidic ACS detergents in the same way as screen baskets, as a service or by supplying the detergent for your own use.

- The manufacturer prepares a manufacturing drawing for your approval before production.
- The manufacturer measures the parts before delivery and supplies an inspection report.

Frequently asked questions about screen plates
Can the plate be made to the dimensions of the old plate?
Yes. The manufacturer prepares a drawing from the dimensions of the old plate or basket, and you approve it before production. We send you a list of the dimensions needed.
What is the benefit of a conical hole?
A conical hole widens by 3–5° in the flow direction, so the stock or liquid enters at the narrow end and leaves at the wide end. According to the manufacturer, flow resistance is lower and capacity higher than with a straight hole.
What is the delivery time?
Delivery time varies by product and is confirmed in the quotation. Manufacturing and freight take several weeks, so request a quotation well before the shutdown.
Which materials are available for pulper plates?
AISI 304, 316, 410, 420, 630 and duplex 2205. Plates made of hardenable steels (410, 420, 630) can be heat treated to 40–48 HRC.

The plates are made by ADSF, which has manufactured screen baskets and screen plates for the pulp and paper industry since 1985.
