Loading hoses for doctor blade holders
Masspap 100, 150 and 250 loading and lifting hoses for hose-loaded doctor blade holders of the DST type. Three models for different temperatures, from the wet end to the dryer section. Sold by the metre and delivered from our stock in Finland.
Why the hose matters
In a hose-loaded doctor blade holder, the loading hose presses the blade against the roll and the lifting hose lifts it off. The hose has to stay flexible so that the pressure reaches the blade evenly as the blade wears. A hose that has gone stiff can let the web or dirt pass under the blade, and doctoring suffers.

All models: EPDM inner tube, inside diameter 25 mm (1″), outside diameter 27 mm.
Which model to choose
- Wire and press sections: Masspap 100.
- Dryer section: Masspap 150, replaced every 12 months.
- Dryer section with fewer hose changes: Masspap 250. The aramid reinforcement allows a 24-month replacement interval and up to 250 °C.
The hoses fit DST-type holders of several makes, such as Flexilan, Valmet and Runtech holders, with some exceptions. Tell us the holder make and type, and we will confirm the fit.

Frequently asked questions
Which hose for the dryer section?
Masspap 150 is the standard dryer section hose with a 12-month replacement interval. Choose Masspap 250 if you want to change hoses less often or the temperature exceeds 150 °C.
Why replace the hose every 12 months?
Over time the hose loses flexibility. A stiff hose responds slowly and does not load the blade evenly, which shows as poorer doctoring. Masspap 250 keeps its properties for about 24 months.
Will the hose fit our holders?
The hoses have an inside diameter of 25 mm (1″) and an outside diameter of 27 mm and fit most DST-type holders. Send us the holder make and type, and we will confirm.
Can we order cut lengths?
Yes. We deliver the hoses in coils or cut to the lengths you need.
What is the delivery time?
All three models are in stock in Finland. The delivery time to your country is confirmed in the quotation.
